Trail + Picnic + Sea Bath = Fun with learning!

Success among the young audience – and also among the parents of the little ones! – o Tour to “Praia dos Amores” with Picnic, a partnership between Cactus Experiences and The Little Club, has already reached the third edition. Launched on June 8, 2019, the program for families gathers walk with guide assistance (light 3 km trail), environmental interpretation, games, picnic in the shade of a leafy almond tree and swim in the beautiful beach of Amores.

The goal is to encourage parents and children to enjoy, together, an intense contactwith nature, from a unique experience. A resident of Búzios has two years, journalist Rejane Medeiros, mother of Betina (6 years) and Bernardo (14 years old), says that he had never done a trail with his children.

The enchantment was so great that the family participated in the three editions performed. “The tour allowed us to get to know the other side of Búzios, discovered through hiking. The experience is excellent because it brings together otherschildren, with lots of fun and lots of learning”, comments Rejane.

According to the guide Nicole Ballona D’Alincourt, who works with – children since 2001, the activity teaches children to respect nature and not to have fear when entering a trail. “Along the way, they learn to using the compass and identifying plants and animals, almost always natives of Buzios, whom we meet along the way,” says Nicole, who also surprises adults with its explanations.

And there’s still the interaction between the class. “It’s very nice to watchcompanionship and the partnership between them, the curiosities… The tour is more than a seaside picnic, it is discovery, knowledge and education with a lot of leisure and fun”, concludes the guide, which enchants the children because due to her affection and charisma.

The experience enchanted little Antonia Carvalho, 6 years old, residentof Buzios, who had never done a trail before. “I liked everything, the explanations, the beach and the food. It’s all very different,” she says, while regaining her energy with a bag of “Pão de Queijo” in her hands.

The walks can be done with children from 2 years old. Allmust be accompanied by their parents or guardians. Each part of the trail lasts, on average, 20 minutes. Both the small ones and the adults should wear comfortable clothes and shoes (preferably sneakers), caps or hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and repellent. Do not forget to put your bathing suits underneath and take a towel!
